![]() If you do - you should be sure to check to see if you have the latest OS X installed. However, if your interface requires software, if you have installed it, reconnected it, restarted your computer, ended apps utilizing your RAM, and dedicated all power to Logic, I'd be surprised if you still have an issue. Again, I've had these issues with some interfaces, whose brands I don't trust as much. Sure, your computer can handle this ok, but Logic/GarageBand or any sort of serious audio production needs to utilize as much of your computer's power as possible.įinally, let me go back to your digital interface. It still has all of the quality, but it frees up A TON of memory when you playback or edit. It may take a minute or two of digging, but I'm CERTAIN you'll find it.Įssentially, "freezing" or "locking" tracks makes your computer save the track as a simple digital audio file. If you don't see that option, go to preferences and turn-on advanced controls. ![]() This is a HUGE tool for speed, clicking, etc!! Within each track-header, you should be able to freeze or lock. FREEZE!!! If you are using Logic OR GarageBand, you have the option to "freeze" or "lock" tracks. One particular interface did the click/static thing a good bit - I found that by simply unplugging it from the Mac, then reconnecting it helped.Ģ. Personally, I have had interfaces that work wonderfully, and some that are horrible. If you are using one (you should to get the best quality), may need to be reset. However I have two REALISTIC/EASY tricks that may help:ġ. Great question! I am an experienced recording artist, and I have had that issue too. ![]()
